Dr. Nina Gupta

Dr. Nina Gupta received an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University. She then went on to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree and a second Bachelor of Science degree in Vision Science at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. During her time at Nova, she was president of the Canadian Association of Optometry Students and graduated with honours as part of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honour Society.

Dr. Gupta completed rotations in primary care, contact lens fitting, pediatrics, geriatrics, binocular vision, vision therapy, low vision and an ocular disease rotation focusing on diabetes and age related macular degeneration. She completed her ocular disease externship at the Aker Kasten Eye Center in Boca Raton, Florida and her primary care externship at South Florida Vision Associates. She also had the opportunity to work with Dr. Alan Aker, a renowned ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and glaucoma surgery.

Dr. Gupta is a member of both the College of Optometrists of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Optometrists. Her interests include vision therapy, contact lens fitting and prevention of ocular disease through patient education and a healthy lifestyle. In addition to English, Dr. Gupta is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi.
