Dr. Samit Patel

Dr. Patel graduated from York University with a B.Sc. in Biology.  He went on to complete his degree in Optometry at Aston University in the UK.   He returned to Ontario to complete the Optometry Bridging Program at University of Waterloo and became Board Certified in Canada.

His interest for Optometry began at an early age.   Having worn corrective lenses since the age of eight,  he remembers visiting his optometrist and being fascinated by the profession.

During his clinical rotation, he had an opportunity to work along side ophthalmologists and optometrist to provide care for pre and post operative cataract patients, as well as a variety of retinal diseases.

Dr. Patel is a member of the College of Optometrist of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Optometrists.   In addition to English, he is fluent in Gujarati.
